Messaging students is a great way to contact them in Learn.  This is helpful for generally providing students with feedback.  In the Immersion Phase, course directors can use this feature to provide students with the required LCME mid-course feedback.

The best way to provide feedback is by using the Message system in VSTAR Learn.  Go to the top left corner, click on My Dashboard, and select Messages.

Under the “Message Navigation” link, choose your course.

You’ll need to know your course number for this step. According to Enrollment and the YES system, this academic year (2015-16) is 0850, which is why that number is on the end of each course.

Once you pick your course, the list of students, faculty and course coordinators will pop up. Select the person you wish to message.

Choose the individual, and then up comes the message box.

These messages are all stored within VSTAR, and you can access it at any time by clicking on My Dashboard, and the Messages link again.
