What is freeform?
freeform began with the question – how could web collaboration be quick and easy, be more flexible, and yet still be organized for others to discover and share? The answer is freeform. freeform gives Vanderbilt members the freedom to discuss anything and connect to one another.
Why Should I Use freeform?
- By using freeform you are volunteering lots of details about who you are, your many interests, and what you bring to this organization simply by the comments you make. Your conversations begin to shape your profile, making it possible to connect to others within Vanderbilt who may share your similar interests.
- Connecting with others outside of your immediate organization is so easy in freeform! By “Following” members & pages you stay more engaged and informed with what’s going on around you. And the use of #hashtags allow you to converse with members across the entire enterprise.
How Do I Get Started?
As an employee of Vanderbilt you already have a freeform page so there is no need to setup your account. Additionally, because your organization is already assigned to you in the Active Directory, you will find your team members listed on the left hand side of your freeform page.
Add Profile Data
Adding profile data and a personal picture is a great way for others to get to know a little bit more about you.
- To upload a new profile picture, click the Change Pic button underneath the current profile picture on your freeform Wall page, select an image, and upload.
Share, Share, Share!
