Add a Page
Pages are resources that provide additional information in a new window. Most of the resources in this course are provided on pages. Pages allow a teacher to provide information, including images and video, links or sound, off of the main page of the course. A major advantage of pages is that they have restricted availability and can be made available to students at a specific time and date.
Choosing the Page Resource
In order to view all the options available, let’s add a file to the course by turning the editing on, and then selecting “Add an activity or resource.”
This will bring up the Activity Chooser menu. Scroll down to Resources, and select “Page.” Then click “Add.”
Creating Page Content
Provide a name and description for your page. The page content is created with the text editor. The text editor can include any information you wish, such as text, links, files, videos, images, or sound.
Page Options
Below the page content creation box, there are several options available for restricting access to students. You can restrict access to certain dates or grades if you choose. Otherwise, you can simply save your course to have the page visible immediately.
