The easiest way to setup your iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch for your email is to allow it to synchronize to Apple Mail or Outlook on your PC. Once your email is set up on your computer, you can just connect your phone and it will automatically add your mail accounts (or prompt you to do so). If you want to add your email manually, however, complete the following steps.

1. Open ‘Settings’ on your iPhone (will use iPhone as the model iOS device)
2. Tap ‘Mail, Contacts, Calendars’
3. Tap ‘Add account…’
4. Tap ‘Microsoft Exchange…’
5. Enter your Vanderbilt email, password, and name for the account (whatever you want it to be labelled as in your phone)
6. The verification will fail. This is normal. Some new settings will appear. Enter the following information:
   

   Field	Action/Field Data
   Email	Verify that your email address is correct
   Server	email.vanderbilt.edu
   Domain	vanderbilt
   Username	[Your VUNet ID]
   Password	Verify that your password is correct
   Description	Whatever you’d like to name this account

7. Tap ‘Next’
8. Select which Exchange information you’d like to synchronize to your phone
9. Tap ‘Done’
