The most common mail client to use on OS X is Apple Mail. It easily synchronizes with all your other iOS devices through iCloud.
Let’s begin…
- Open the Mail application
- If this is the first time setting up Mail, just click ‘Continue’ through all of the popups.
- Once in the main window of Mail, navigate to ‘File’ in the top menu, then click ‘Add account…’.
- In the window that appears, enter your name as you’d like it to appear on emails you send. Enter your Vanderbilt email address and password in the appropriate boxes. Click ‘Create’.
- The account addition will fail and a new ‘Username’ text box will appear. Enter your VUNetID into this box (it should be auto populated with your.m.name). Click ‘Continue’.
- In the next window, check whether you would like to synchronize your calendars and contacts from the Exchange server, and click ‘Create’. You’re done!
