Discussions: Add active engagement to your meetings

New “Discussions” feature offers rich engagement experience and lets users easily share information, ask questions and provide feedback. It helps with meeting productivity through real time collaboration between attendees. It is a private and secure way to engage in discussions/chat with other meeting attendees. Meeting owner can help moderate team collaboration via active chats and by sharing notes with all the attendees. Attendees can stay engaged, better informed and communicate their ideas with other. With this feature attendees can access meeting handouts, and capture their personal notes.

How to access the app:

  1. Once you receive your event code, text the event code to (615) 802-0009 using your mobile device
  2. Your attendance will be logged and you will immediately receive a link, follow that link to enter discussion chat room and access handouts etc.
  3. Click the link to open in your mobile devices’ browser
  4. Add your VUnet ID and click participate

 

I. Discussion

  1. You will immediately land on the discussion page
  2. To add a comment, click the Add a comment text box at the bottom and type your comment. Click the send icon to send.

 

 

 

 

II. Handouts

  1. Click the handouts tab at the bottom navigation menu. Any attachment added by the event manager will be accessible from here.  
  2. Click the document title
  3. The handout should open and be ready for viewing

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

III. Event Information

By clicking the info tab, you will see an overview of the event. Speakers, location, and event manager details will be listed for participants to view.

 

 

 

 

 

 

IV. Event notes

Participants can also take personal notes for the event by clicking the notes tab. Use the toolbar to personalize your notes. Notes are also saved in the TurnOut web application by accessing the event page.
